Alaz 360 MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT

Connect your AI assistant to Alaz 360 to look up and update your CRM, quotes, contracts, projects, tasks, WhatsApp bots, social media and finances in plain language. The assistant works with your user account and your permissions: it never sees or changes anything you can't see or change in the dashboard.

What the connector is

The Alaz 360 MCP connector implements the Model Context Protocol, the open standard Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants use to work with external tools. It gives your assistant a curated set of tools to work on your Alaz 360 account, Alaz's business management system.

The server is an intermediary with no credentials of its own: every tool becomes a request to the Alaz 360 API carrying your user's token, and the API decides, on every call, what you can see and do. The server has no direct access to the database.

Your permissions, nothing more

Same companies, same role and same restrictions you have when you sign in to the Alaz 360 dashboard.

Reads and writes kept apart

Each tool does one thing and declares whether it reads, changes data or has an effect outside Alaz, so the assistant asks for your confirmation.

No copy of your data

The server doesn't store your business data or the content of your conversations with the AI.

Revocable in one click

Remove access from your Alaz 360 account or from the assistant; the next call already fails.

What you can do

A few examples of what you can ask your assistant once it's connected:

  • “Which of my opportunities have an overdue next step this week?”
  • “Summarize the latest quote for Constructora Andina and rewrite the scope section in a more direct tone.”
  • “Create a task to call the customer on the ‘2027 Renewal’ opportunity tomorrow and assign it to me.”
  • “Which customer requests are still unanswered on the B2B Portal project?”
  • “Show me the progress and health status of this month's active projects.”
  • “Test how the sales bot would answer a customer asking about opening hours.”
  • “Draft an Instagram post in the November schedule, without publishing it.”
  • “List receivables more than 30 days overdue.”

Tools for modules your Alaz 360 plan doesn't include don't show up in the assistant. For example, without the social media module you won't see the post tools.

Requirements

  • An Alaz 360 account with active access to at least one company. Supplier accounts (read-only) can't connect assistants.
  • An assistant that supports remote MCP: Claude (web, desktop or mobile), ChatGPT or another MCP client with Streamable HTTP.
  • On Claude Team or Enterprise, the organization owner must have enabled the connector if your organization restricts connectors.
  • If your company runs its own Alaz 360 installation, your organization identifier (what comes before .alaz.es in your dashboard's address).

How to connect

How you connect depends on the assistant. In every case you sign in with your own Alaz 360 account: nobody shares credentials.

Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and mobile)

  1. Open Settings → Connectors in Claude.
  2. Find Alaz 360 in the connectors directory and click Connect.
  3. Claude takes you to the Alaz 360 sign-in page. If it asks for your organization, enter your company's.
  4. Sign in with your user (email and password, or Google) and review the authorization screen: it shows the account you're using and what the assistant will be able to do.
  5. Click Allow. You'll return to Claude with the connector enabled. Turn on the tools you want for each conversation from the tools menu.

On Claude Team and Enterprise, the organization owner enables the connector once; then each person connects it with their own Alaz 360 account.

As a custom connector

If your organization doesn't see the connector in the directory yet, an admin can add it as a custom connector with the URL https://mcp.alaz.es/mcp and, under advanced settings, the OAuth client ID and secret Alaz issues to your company. Request them at [email protected].

ChatGPT

  1. Open the Alaz 360 app in ChatGPT from the apps directory, or click Connect with ChatGPT in the Alaz 360 dashboard under My account → Connected apps.
  2. Click Connect, sign in with your Alaz 360 account and pick your organization if asked.
  3. Review the authorization screen and click Allow. The connection will show up under Connected apps with its last-used date.

Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients

Developer clients accept a token pasted into their configuration. That's what the personal MCP token is for.

  1. In the Alaz 360 dashboard, go to My account → MCP tokens, give the token a recognizable name (for example, “Claude Code on my laptop”) and click Issue token.
  2. Copy the token right away: it starts with alazmcp_, is shown only once and expires after 90 days. Treat it like a password.
  3. Configure the client with the server URL and the token in the Authorization header.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http alaz https://mcp.alaz.es/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $ALAZ_MCP_TOKEN"
JSON configuration (Cursor, VS Code and others)
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "alaz": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.alaz.es/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${ALAZ_MCP_TOKEN}"
      }
    }
  }
}

Keep the token in an environment variable or your team's secret manager, never in a repository. If it leaks, revoke it under MCP tokens and issue a new one.

OAuth authentication

Claude and ChatGPT connect with OAuth 2.1. Your password never goes through the assistant: you sign in on the Alaz 360 page and the assistant only receives an access token issued for your user.

  1. The assistant discovers the authorization server from the MCP server's public metadata (RFC 9728).
  2. It redirects you to the Alaz 360 authorization page, which first asks for your organization when needed.
  3. You sign in to Alaz 360 and approve access on the consent screen.
  4. Alaz 360 returns a single-use code to the assistant, which exchanges it for an access token and a refresh token.
  5. On every call, the assistant sends the token to the MCP server, which forwards it to the Alaz 360 API to resolve your identity and permissions.

Permissions: what the AI can read and change

The connector doesn't widen your permissions or open a new path to your data: the assistant acts on your behalf, under the same rules the Alaz 360 dashboard applies to you.

Same user

Actions are recorded under your name, just as if you'd done them in the dashboard.

Same companies

Only the companies where you have an active membership. If you belong to several, the assistant states which one it's working on.

Same role

The API enforces your role and permissions on every call, including custom roles. If your role can't see financial data, neither can the assistant.

Same plan

Tools for modules your company hasn't subscribed to are neither listed nor callable.

What it can read

  • Your identity: name, email and the companies you belong to.
  • Customers and contacts: legal name, trade name, tax ID, email, phone, address and contact people.
  • Sales: pipelines, opportunities, notes, sales agenda, leads and their WhatsApp conversations.
  • Quotes and contracts: line items, amounts, proposal text, parties, clauses, annexes and signature status.
  • Projects: status, progress, members, deliverables, customer requests with their thread and, only if your role allows it, the financial summary.
  • Tasks from the CRM and the team.
  • WhatsApp channel: connected numbers, bot configuration, knowledge base and activity log.
  • Social media: profiles, schedules, ideas, posts, reviews, metrics and the media library.
  • Finance and purchasing: products, orders, invoices, receivables and payables, and recorded collections and payments.
  • Team: name, email and role of the people in your company, to assign work.

What it never receives

  • Passwords, other apps' tokens (for example, Meta's) or e-invoicing credentials.
  • Data from companies you don't belong to.
  • Your conversations with the AI, your chat history or the files you upload to the assistant: the connector doesn't request them.

What it can't do

  • Move money: recording a collection or payment only logs a transaction that already happened; it doesn't make transfers or charges.
  • Issue tax documents to the tax authority: invoices are created as drafts.
  • Delete customers, projects, opportunities, quotes, contracts or invoices: there are no tools for that.
  • Manage users, roles, permissions or company settings.
  • Issue tokens, change your password, impersonate another user or manage connected apps: the API rejects those actions when they come with a connector token.

What it can change

Of the 163 tools, 24 create records without touching existing ones and 62 change or delete data inside Alaz 360. They include: creating and updating opportunities, tasks, projects, deliverables, contacts, products, orders and draft quotes and invoices; editing proposals and contract clauses; configuring bots; preparing posts; and recording collections and payments that already happened.

Actions with an effect outside Alaz

Only 5 tools have an effect that leaves Alaz 360. They're flagged so the assistant asks for your confirmation before running them:

  • reply_project_request: replies to a customer request and emails the customer.
  • publish_social_post and publish_social_post_all: publish to Instagram or Facebook.
  • set_bot_active and assign_bot_to_number: make a bot start (or stop) answering real customers on WhatsApp.

Features that use Alaz 360's AI

regenerate_quote_section, regenerate_contract_clause and test_bot_message ask Alaz 360's AI for the text, which processes it with the same model provider that feature uses in the dashboard.

Note for IT admins

The token issued to the assistant has the mcp scope and represents the person to the Alaz 360 API with their permissions, except for the account actions listed above. Tools narrow what the assistant can request; authorization is decided by the API on every call.

These are all the tools the server exposes, grouped by area. Each tool's level comes from its MCP annotations, which Claude and ChatGPT use to decide when to ask for confirmation.

Confirmations and control

Claude and ChatGPT use each tool's annotations to decide when to ask you for permission. Read-only tools can run without interruption; tools that change, delete or have an external effect ask for confirmation according to your assistant's settings.

  • Review what the assistant is about to send before confirming an action, especially amounts, recipients and dates.
  • In Claude you can turn off specific tools or require approval on every use from the connector menu.
  • For lookup-only use, turn off non-read tools in your assistant or use a user with a read-only role in Alaz 360.

Security

The connector is designed not to be an extra entry point to your data.

No credentials of its own

The server has no service account, master keys or database access. It can only do what your token allows.

Authorization on every call

The Alaz 360 API validates the token and permissions on every request. A revoked permission takes effect on the next call.

Stateless

Each request is served and discarded. Only the user's identity (id, name, email and companies) is kept in memory for 60 seconds; never permissions or business data.

Encrypted in transit

All traffic goes over HTTPS. The service runs on Google Cloud (Cloud Run, us-central1 region) behind Firebase Hosting.

Bounded requests

It rejects requests with a browser origin, caps the request body size and cuts off API calls that don't answer in time.

Tokens kept out of logs

Technical error logs mask the token. Personal tokens carry the alazmcp_ prefix so they can be recognized if they end up in a file or message by mistake.

Privacy and data handling

This section summarizes how the connector handles data. It complements the Privacy Policy and the Alaz 360 Terms of Service, which remain the reference documents.

What Alaz receives

  • The name of the tool the assistant decides to use and the arguments it sends (for example, a search term or a task's fields).
  • The access token, to identify you to the API.

What it doesn't receive

  • Your messages, conversation history, the assistant's memory or the files you upload to it.
  • Data from other tools or connectors you use in the same conversation.

Use and storage

  • Data is used only to run the requested tool and return the result to the assistant.
  • The MCP server doesn't keep copies of your business data or of the results. Changes the assistant makes are saved in your Alaz 360 account, like any change made in the dashboard.
  • Alaz stores authorized connections (app, user, tokens and last-used date) so it can validate them and show them in your account.

Third parties

  • Tool results are delivered to the assistant you connected (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT), which handles them under its own terms and your privacy settings in that service.
  • The Alaz 360 AI features listed in the permissions section send the necessary text to the model provider Alaz 360 uses for that feature.
  • The connector doesn't send your data to any other third party.

Retention

  • Tokens are kept until they expire or you revoke them; revoking a connection deletes its access and refresh tokens.
  • Business data is kept in your Alaz 360 account under the Alaz 360 Terms of Service.
  • Technical logs are kept according to the Privacy Policy.

Revoking access

You can disconnect the assistant at any time. For an immediate, complete cut-off, also revoke the connection in Alaz 360.

From Alaz 360 (recommended)

  1. Sign in to the Alaz 360 dashboard and open My account.
  2. Under Connected apps, find the assistant (for example, Claude or ChatGPT) and click the revoke icon.
  3. Alaz deletes that app's access and refresh tokens for your user. The assistant's next call fails and it will have to ask for your authorization again.

From the assistant

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors, choose Alaz 360 and disconnect it. In ChatGPT, disconnect the Alaz 360 app from the apps settings. This removes the connection in the assistant; revoking it in Alaz 360 also guarantees the tokens stop working.

Personal MCP tokens

Under My account → MCP tokens you can see each token with its creation date, expiry and last use, and revoke it. A revoked token stops working on the next call.

For company admins

If you remove someone from the company or change their role in Alaz 360, the API applies the change on the assistant's next call. The identity cached by the MCP server expires within 60 seconds at most and never grants permissions on its own.

Guide for IT admins

What an IT or security team usually asks for before approving the integration:

Domains
mcp.alaz.es (MCP server), api.alaz.es (API and authorization server) and admin.alaz.es (sign-in and consent).
Access model
Delegated per user with OAuth. No shared accounts or service credentials. Each person authorizes their own access and can revoke it.
Least privilege
Assign roles in Alaz 360 that fit each person. The assistant never exceeds those permissions.
Traceability
Changes are recorded under the user's name. Connected apps shows each connection's last-used date.
Infrastructure
Google Cloud (Firebase Hosting and Cloud Run). HTTPS traffic end to end.
Security contact
Report vulnerabilities or incidents to [email protected] with the subject “Security”.

Troubleshooting

Message or symptomWhat to do
“Falta el token de Alaz.” (missing token)The client sent no credentials. In Claude or ChatGPT, reconnect the connector. In a developer client, check the Authorization: Bearer … header.
“El token de Alaz no es válido o expiró.” (invalid or expired token)The connection was revoked or expired (personal tokens last 90 days). Disconnect and connect again, or issue a new token.
“We couldn't find that organization, or it doesn't have the connector enabled.”Enter the identifier that appears before .alaz.es in your dashboard's address. If you sign in at admin.alaz.es, enter alaz. If it persists, ask Alaz to enable the connector for your organization.
“Too many attempts. Wait a minute and try again.”Organization selection has a per-minute attempt limit. Wait a minute.
“The authorization link has expired.”The link lasts 10 minutes and works only once. Start the connection again from the assistant.
“No se pudo comprobar la organización del token…” or “No se pudo contactar a la API de Alaz…” (service temporarily unreachable)Temporary failure. Try again in a few seconds. If it continues, contact us.
A tool doesn't show upYour plan doesn't include that module, or the tool is turned off in your assistant. Check the connector's tools menu.
The tool says you don't have permissionYour Alaz 360 role doesn't allow that action. Ask an admin at your company to review your role.
The assistant looks at the wrong companyIf you belong to several companies, ask it to use list_companies and to name the company in each request.
An AI rewrite took too long and returned an errorThe API may have finished and saved the change anyway. Ask the assistant to re-read the document before repeating the action.
“Origen no permitido.” (origin not allowed)The server rejects calls made from a web page. Use an MCP client, not a browser.
My account can't connect assistantsSupplier accounts are read-only and can't connect assistants. If you work at the company, ask an admin to give you a company role.

Frequently asked questions

Can the AI see data I can't see in Alaz 360?

No. Every call is made with your user and the API enforces your permissions, your companies and your plan. The connector has no access of its own to the data.

Does Alaz read my conversations with Claude or ChatGPT?

No. Alaz only receives the calls to its tools, with the arguments the assistant sends. It doesn't receive your messages, your history or your files.

Can it delete information?

Some tools delete specific items (tasks, deliverables, proposal sections, project members, social posts and schedules, bot actions and knowledge sources) and are flagged as destructive so the assistant asks for confirmation. There are no tools to delete customers, projects, opportunities, quotes, contracts or invoices.

Can it send messages or publish on my behalf?

Only through five tools flagged with an external effect: replying to a customer request (sends an email), publishing to social media and turning on or assigning a WhatsApp bot. The assistant asks for your confirmation before using them.

Can I restrict the connector to read-only?

Today the token's scope is your user's. You can turn off non-read tools in your assistant, or use a user with a read-only role in Alaz 360.

What if I belong to several companies?

The assistant can work with every company where you have an active membership. Use list_companies to see them and say which one you want to work on.

How long does the connection last?

With OAuth, the assistant renews access automatically while you use it: the access token lasts one hour and the refresh token 14 days. A personal MCP token lasts 90 days.

What should I do if I suspect misuse?

Revoke the connection under My account → Connected apps (or the token under MCP tokens), change your password and email us at [email protected] with the subject “Security”.

Does it work with other assistants?

Yes, with any client that supports MCP over Streamable HTTP. Claude and ChatGPT use OAuth; developer clients use a personal MCP token.
