NovoCare
The problem
NovoCare provides healthcare in the patient's home in Lima: doctors, nursing and therapies coordinated away from a facility, with caregivers and relatives involved.
Clinical and administrative information was spread across shared folders, loose documents and messages: records, consent forms, medical orders and nursing notes did not live in one place or have a reliable history.
Because it handles health data, any solution had to comply by design with Peru's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 29733) and its regulations, and control precisely who can see what.

The Solution
Alaz designed and built a custom clinical MVP on the core of its platform, with a dedicated clinical module for NovoCare and its own cloud deployment, isolated from other clients.
The project began with discovery workshops on clinical and operational processes, role and access profiles, privacy guidelines and per-milestone acceptance criteria, and moves forward through functional releases.
Discovery and functional design
Mapping of clinical and operational processes, MVP feature prioritisation, health-record and home-care flows, and the target cloud architecture.
Patients and admission
Patient registration with personal data, contact details and responsible relatives or caregivers, the initial payment linked to their record and a first migration from the repositories the team already used.
Digitally signed consent forms and contracts
Versioned templates for informed consent and contracts, signed digitally or backed by an attached document within the patient record.
Medical orders and nursing kardex
Recording and follow-up of medical orders, and a kardex to control administration and care activities.
Telemonitoring
Notes and relevant clinical parameters recorded between visits, in the same patient history.
Privacy and access control
Roles and profiles by clinical function and security guidelines aligned with Law No. 29733, so each profile only sees the information it needs.
Cloud production
A hardened cloud deployment with configured backups, on which the next modules are being released.

Results
A single record per patient
Personal data, caregivers, signed documents, medical orders and nursing notes live in one history instead of loose folders and messages.
Traceable consent
Every consent form and contract is versioned and tied to the patient, with its digital signature or supporting document.
Privacy by design
Access is defined by clinical role and data processing follows the Personal Data Protection Law from the first milestone.
MVP in production
The patients, documents, medical orders, kardex and telemonitoring modules already run in production with backups.
Foundation for home-care operations
The next stage — scheduling by specialty, care plans, routing and visit control — is being built on the same platform.
